Campaigns
The National Water Safety Forum delivers regular and original water safety campaigns under its public-facing "Respect The Water" brand. We also plan and deliver communications activity in support of global awareness events like World Health Organization’s World Drowning Prevention Day, support national campaigns delivered by our partners, and seasonal moments such as heatwaves and winter water safety.
National Water Safety Forum Campaigns
Respect The Water is the National Water Safety Forum's umbrella campaign for public-facing water safety campaigns and messages. These campaigns focus on educating people on how to enjoy the water safely and the actions they should take in an emergency. Respect The Water is also used to amplify and cross-promote a number of other national campaigns delivered by our partners.
World Drowning Prevention Day is a global advocacy event established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and recognised around the world on 25 July. Find Your Float is the National Water Safety Forum’s campaign for World Drowning Prevention Day 2025. The campaign encourages people to practise the science-backed self-rescue technique of floating in a safe and supported environment, better preparing them for an emergency.
