Water Safety Partnerships in England

Local ownership and partnership working are vital for drowning prevention. A Water Safety Partnership is a great way to ensure collaborative working and buy-in from partners to tackle local water safety issues effectively.

Water Safety England have released a guidance document for English partners to help create and develop their own Water Safety Partnership (WSP). It is acknowledged that the local authority landscape in England is complex and so the guidance aims to help regions in England develop partnerships based upon national insight and the successful experiences of the Greater Manchester Water Safety Strategic Partnership (GMWSSP).
