Water Safety England have released guidance for English partners to help create and develop their own Water Safety Partnership. It is acknowledged that the local authority landscape in England is complex and so the guidance aims to help regions in England develop partnerships based upon national insight and the successful experiences of the Greater Manchester Water Safety Strategic Partnership.

Exploring a Structured Regional Water Safety Framework for England
Following the publication of Water Safety England's guidance on Water Safety Partnerships, we launched a project to engage with both existing and emerging partnerships. The aim of the project was to understand how best to strengthen the relationship between national leadership and local action, and to explore the development of a more consistent Water Safety Partnership model, drawing inspiration from successful approaches in Scotland and local areas of England.
